This simple dinner idea takes about 10 minutes to make! It is not complicated at all, even though many people think that scallops are very difficult to make.
Step 1
Peel a couple of large potatoes, cut them in four, wash them, and put them in a pan with cold salted water. Add 4 large cloves of peeled garlic to your potatoes.
Prepare the scallops:
dry them with a paper towel from both sides
season with salt and pepper from both sides and wait for the potatoes to boil
Step 2
Mash the potatoes with garlic and add some butter and milk (I only used cream to cut out calories). Put them on the side and prepare your garnish. I boiled some vegetables, which you can cover in butter, but it would also look and taste amazing with green asparagus.
Step 3
Heat your pan and add a spoon of butter. Before putting your scallops in the pan, ensure the pan is really hot. Add your scallops to the pan and fry on medium heat for 1-2 minutes on every side.
Step 4
Place your garlic mashed potatoes in the middle of your plate, put the scallops on the top, add a teaspoon of the leftover butter (from the pan where you fried the scallops), add your chosen vegetable on the side, and in the end, decorate it with some dried parsley. All done! Enjoy! :)
